Swim Lesson Levels

My programs are based on my years of experience in teaching in and out of the pool. My program begins with Parents and Child Aquatics (GOLDFISH) and continues through Level VII (DOLPHINS). Please see descriptions below for each level of swimming. I will evaluate each child the first day of class to determine which skills need to be addressed as each child learns at a different rate. I strongly encourage parents to emphasize learning new skills and improving on existing skills. Over-emphasizing that children pass levels can lead to disappointment and discouraged youth. It is also important to work with your child on the skills he/she has learned in my lessons! Practice makes perfect!

GOLDFISH Parent/Child Aquatics
Entry Level
– Water babies is a parent-child swim program committed to providing a quality family centered aquatic education, focusing on family bonding, touch-communication, water safety and the latest in Learn to Swim techniques. Water babies offers programs for infants and toddlers. I use a gentle, loving, child centered approach to teach basic swimming skills such as submersion, back float, kicking, reaching and breath control. The aim of my parent-tot classes is to empower parents by teaching them the techniques to progress their child in the water. Using verbal cues, body language and positive feedback; parents learn to introduce their child to the basic swim skills.
